Sacred Heart Hospital Auxiliary to light Love Lights Tree
The Auxiliary of St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital invites the community to attend the annual lighting of the Love Lights Tree on Monday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. in the hospital lobby at 367 Clear Creek Parkway, Lavonia.
"The lighting of our annual Love Lights Tree is a beautiful event for our hospital and our community," says Brenda Price, chair of the Love Lights Committee. "We are so happy to be part of St. Mary's Health Care System and look forward to our best Love Lights campaign yet."
Refreshments will be served starting at 5 p.m. with the program beginning at 5:30 p.m. Providing music will be the First Baptist Church of Lavonia, Happy Dayz Child Learning Center, Lavonia First United Methodist Church Choir and soloist Danny Lord, who will sing the Lord's Prayer.
Each light on the tree represents a gift made to the Love Lights program. Gifts can be made year-round in remembrance or in honor of family and friends; to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, or special occasions, and for special acknowledgment of a person or association. Donation levels range from $10 to $500. All donations are acknowledged by letter and in the Love Lights Book, which is displayed in the hospital lobby during the holiday season.
The Auxiliary uses funds raised by Love Lights to enhance the technology, services and mission of St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital. Funds from this year's Love Lights campaign will be used to purchase a complete Advanced Life Support Full-Body simulator. The simulator helps instructors teach a range of lifesaving skills and techniques, from CPR to intubation.
